So, why didn't someone tell me about this Facebook thing earlier? What a kick... How fun is it to connect with people you haven't talked with in ages?
Not only am I finding old friends, connecting with relatives I never get the chance to see, keeping up with others I do get to see, but I am also renewing lost relationships with artists who have inspired me through their work and talent for years.
I'll say it again....What a kick!
(However, my blogging time has been .... stolen .... )

25 Random Things You Might Not Know About ME
1. I met my husband in a bowling alley. He proposed to me on the way to a gas station. Are we white trash, or what?
2. I have had well over 150 pieces of artwork published in varying books and magazines.
3. I've been told there is an entire file drawer full of my records at the Boulder Community Hospital Emergency Department. I have yet to verify this fact.
4. My sister and I used to play "Here Come The Brides" in our backyard. I never got to be Candy...and I always wanted to marry Jeremy Bolt. (Bobby Sherman)
5. There is no one in this world I respect more than my mom and my dad.
6. I honestly believe that money wouldn't change me...and by gosh, I want to test that theory.
7. I am truly fearful for the future of our great country. I believe we are headed down a dangerous path.
8. I horde scrapbooking and craft supplies...but I'm still not as bad as Jen.
9. I once spent a holiday season as a professional gift wrapper at JCPenny's.
10. I believe the worst pain you can ever feel is the loss of a child.
11. My favorite breakfast is my mother's biscuits and gravy.
12. I used to come home for lunch in elementary school. I would meet mom and we would watch "General Hospital" together.
13. I secretly don't believe I am a very creative person. I just fake it well. I wish I was as creative as Torrey.
14. Growing up, one of my ambitions was to be in the Olympics. I used to pretend I was in them when I was outside practicing volleyball.
15. I adore green...mostly yellow greens. I think it is one of the best colors and believe I can actually look good wearing it... Don't burst my bubble if that isn't the case.
16. I don't pray as often as I should, but I truly have faith in the power of prayer.
17. I would much rather be cold than hot.
18. We had a large room in our basement. When I was young, we used to move the furniture enough that we could roller-skate down there. Looking back I realize how small the space was, but back then...it was like having my own private rink.
19. I have three friends that no matter how long we go without talking, when we get together it is like we were never apart; we pick right up where we left off. Thanks Diane, Chris and Allison.
20. My first job (besides babysitting) was at a "soda fountain / pizza parlor". I had to wear a red and white stripped uniform...and my boss hit on me. I quite shortly after.
21. I am scared to death of taking a polygraph test. No clue why...I don't have things to hide, but the concept scares the hell out of me.
22. I have been keeping journals since I was 9 years old.
23. The start of it all....between my 6th and 7th grade years I saw my gym teacher at a store during the summer break. She mentioned a volleyball camp and suggested I sign up. The rest is history.
24. I once left my elementary school to walk to 7-11 for lunch. I got caught, of course....nosey neighbors.
25. I love to be alone.... Not for extended long periods of time, but I like to steal any time I can to just be in solitude.

Girls Day Out
What do you get when you take three grown women, three Cannon Digital Rebels, two beautiful teen girls and one gorgeous, sunny day? In my life, you get over 1,000 photos total.
That was our plan - take these adorable and beautiful girls out, play around with some interesting backgrounds, and just shoot for fun. Between Torrey, Heather and I, the girls were constantly being photographed. In fact, most of the time, they didn't know which way to look.
They were such great sports. I think they had as much fun, if not more than the camera toting group did.
Finish it off with a delightful lunch together and you have the makings of a wonderful day.

5 addictions...... Got this from Jen. Didn't say, but hers were all crafting related. So, I'll just keep it that way.
1. Paper, paper and more paper. I'm amazed at how many different papers there are out there. I can own enough to last me forever, but still want more. I see things I've never seen before, color combinations and patterns that just make me drool. Gotta have it.
2. Color. I love adding color. Doesn't matter if that's with paper, with pens, with ink, with ribbons and fibers. I like having bright, bold colors. I like grayed down colors, I even like pastels sometimes. I just love color.
3. Chocolate. I know more of you probably don't consider this a crafting supply, but honestly...come on. Do you create better when your soul is fed? Chocolate feeds the soul...duh, it's not only an addiction, it's a necessity.
4. Inspiration. I love finding inspiration in books, websites, magazines, friends blogs, anything that has texture, color, design, etc. I like to think that I can turn anything into "mine" by just giving the inspiration my own touch. I find inspiration in a lot of everyday things. And I know I surround myself with people who inspire me both creatively and spiritually.
5. Writing. I've been addicted to writing all my life. I have journals dating back to when I was 8 years old. Now it's blogs, emails, chats, messages, etc. But I still find time to write with pen and ink as well. I was so lucky to make writing my career for a while. Now, I find joy in it as a passion and outlet. The written word has so much to offer.
Alright....now the fun part. Tagging others. So, here's who I want to hear from.
Mom - You've provided inspiration to me all my life...Thanks
Christine - What are your addictions?
Jen P - I can't wait to hear what your addicted to over there in Russia?
Shanda - Blue men?
Cortney - And Scott is not an addiction.
Cheryl - What has changed in the past 18 months of being in Poland? Any new addictions?
Andrea - Obviously, music....anything else?
Anyone else....just join in.

Two of four....not bad, but not good enough.
Update on my 2009 goals....
Shooting more photos - my camera hasn't come out of its bag since the calendar turned 2009. (Hanging head in shame).
Eating healthier - ok this is relative. I'm am eating better, but still not as well as I should be.
Getting a new job - interview update....it went really well. I think I would (will) do great in this environment and I believe they were impressed with me. Hoping to hear more on it sometime next week. Keep the prayers going please.
Fostering my creative side - I've been making more necklaces and today I got to spend the day with Torrey and Jen and the other basement babe playing. Felt good....goooood I tell ya.
Two of four - tells me I still need to work on these goals a bit. But then again, it's only the 15th, right?

You guys are GOOD
Keep 'em coming. The pull of your prayers is working.
I got an interview ... YEA
Wednesday is the big day. Informal interview with my "soon to be boss" at the fire sub-station where my office would be. (Wait, that should read "will be", shouldn't it?)
